MFX Data Centers in NJ and VA Maintained Full Operations Throughout Superstorm Sandy!

An Important Message from MFX’s Chairman and CEO, Ray Roy

Morristown, NJ - November 23, 2012 - “Superstorm Sandy devastated the Northeast but MFX was prepared and our client’s systems located in the NJ and VA data centers were not impacted,” announced CEO, Ray Roy!

  • Ridgefield Park facility, located about 15 miles northwest of New York City operated on generator power for an extended period during the storm and experienced absolutely no interruption in the services provided.
  • Stand-by emergency fuel deliveries had been pre-arranged and the back-up power generation systems operated continuously and flawlessly until power was restored.
  • Stand-by capabilities were ready to go at a moment’s notice in Virginia but thankfully were not needed.
  • Battery backup, generators, cooling systems and network redundancy are standard services provided to our customers.
  • MFX customers were able to use our facilities for business operation continuity and work area recovery.

There are never any guarantees in a storm of this magnitude. However MFX drew on its 12 years of experience to ensure our clients were supported. Updates were provided to our clients every four hours to ensure the status was widely known. The last communication was the same as the first — “All systems at the MFX Ridgefield Park and Roanoke facilities continue to be fully operational — there have been no issues with the facilities during Superstorm Sandy.”

Our clients had the following comments:

  • “… let me take this opportunity to thank you for the outstanding job you did for us over the past week. You proved, yet again, the invaluable aspects of our relationship with MFX. You were not only accessible and supportive over the past week but you were proactive and incredibly helpful…”
  • “I just wanted to say thanks to the MFX team for the part they played in getting us through the hurricane-related outage this week. It was a difficult time for all of us that involved many hours of overtime and lost sleep, but in the end it all worked out well. We appreciate what was done here and the extra effort put forth…”
  • “I just wanted to take a minute to thank all of you for your efforts in enabling us to support our user community during hurricane Sandy. Many of you truly went over and above to make sure things were running smoothly and without our combined efforts this would not have happened. I must also comment on the caring shown for one another across all organizations. Every conversation I had, each of you were concerned how others were doing and if they were safe and sound. I can’t think of a better way to describe a TEAM…”
